B DAY!

We got to read Books with two different sets of Buddies on our Beach towel yesterday.  It was a fun surprise for the students!

 We listened to books on CD.

We drew on our classroom mural for the letter A countdown.

Recycled Books!

We got to go to the lunchroom this morning to pick out a book!  Then, we got to go down again later in the morning and get two more books!  Thank you PTO and third grade classes for doing this awesome project!

Star of the Week!

Alyssa is Star of the Week!

It Snowed!

We decided to run outside today and catch snowflakes on your tongue!  They were so big and fluffy!  We promised Mrs. Jedlicka that we would not get crazy after catching and we didn't!

Measuring Using a Ruler

Today we learned how to measure using a ruler.  We went around the room and measured items to see how many inches they were.  We also measured the feet and hands of our carpet partner.

Earth Day!

We made kites out of plastic grocery sacks.  We had a lot of fun flying them in the sunshine!

Sarah visited to teach us about recycling!

She taught us about the different numbers of plastic that can be recycled.

Then we got to play a fun game.  We had to be like birds and build a nest out of recycled newspaper.

We also got to touch a worm!!!!

Non Standard Measuring

Yesterday we measured 3 things in the room that were shorter than 10 paperclips.  It was fun to walk around the room to see what we could find to measure.  We had to draw a picture of what we found and write a sentence about what we found.

Farm Bureau Ladies

This week is National Library Week so the Farm Bureau Ladies came today to read a book to us and then donate it to the school library!  What a nice thing for them to do!
