Friday Centers!

We played Go Fish to work on number recognition!

We Rainbow Roll and Write with our sight words.

We worked on cool science puzzles!

We listened to books on CD.

We drew on our classroom mural for the letter A countdown.

K-1 News

K-1 News!
Week of May 13th!
Monday
We practiced our sight words using either white boards, magnetic letters, and/or using an Etch a Sketch. We learned about cows to get us ready for our field trip. We learned that there are many different kinds of cows, that they have four stomachs, that they chew their cud and spit it back up, and that they make cow manure. We labeled a cow picture to show some of what we learned from the book. We reviewed what we learned on Friday about insects. We tried our first time of writing a sentence and then having our carpet partners help make it better. We had library. Mrs. Jedlicka ate lunch with us today.
Tuesday
We had our field trip today. We went to a dairy farm and learned many new things about cows and a dairy. We had art. We watched Mouse and the Motorcycle with all of the other kindergarten students for our M day. We worked on our sight words by writing them.
Wednesday
We had music this morning. We got to play different musical instruments. It was fun! We wrote a sentence again and worked with our partner to make it a better sentence. We wrote a letter to our new teacher for next year for the letter N. We did a subtraction page together. It was an early out day.
Thursday
We read Click, Clack Moo again today. We drew pictures of what the problem was in the book and what our favorite part of the book was. We had PE and we played a fun tag game. We went to the library to apologize for the book that was ruined in our classroom. We read an insect book. We read it with our carpet partner outside for O day. We changed words by changing either the last of first word of a sentence. We practiced writing numbers to 50 again. We had Guidance.

*May 20th and May 28th-Mrs. Jedlicka with Adam for his surgery
*May 27th-No School
*May 30th-K-1 Potluck in the park and end of the year celebration
*June 3rd-Last day of school! Fun activities all morning! Dismissal at 11:00.
